Aftercare

Some advice and guidance for after your treatment

It is recommended that you do the following if possible after your treatment

  • Increase your water intake to aid your body in its detoxification process
  • Have a 20 minute rest if possible
  • If oils were used, try to keep them on as long as possible as this will give them a longer lasting effect

After your treatment it is recommended that you avoid the following for 24 hours if possible

  • Eating a heavy meal. Try to keep your diet light whilst your body is using its energy for healing
  • Smoking
  • Alcohol, tea, coffee and fizzy drinks
  • Spicy foods
  • If you get a headache or achy muscles, try to avoid pain relief and drink water and rest instead

A healing response is how your body reacts to the treatment and deals with the Toxins and Waste Products being released.

Types of Healing Response

Everyone’s body deals with healing response in a different way. The following list are some of the common responses

  • Headaches
  • Increase in urination
  • Increased bowel movements
  • Feeling tiered
  • Feeling uplifted
  • Improved sleep
  • Cold like symptoms
  • Emotional release
  • Aching muscles
  • Increases energy levels
  • Possible skin reaction
  • Feeling faint or dizzy
  • Nausea
  • Erythema (redness on the skin)

You may not experience any these healing responses, but if you do it is just your body way of healing and ridding itself of the toxins and waste products.

There is no need to worry and symptoms often decrease with regular treatments as your body gets used to the change and the toxins and waste products get lower. Your body’s immune system will also improve with regular treatments, aiding in the recovery process.
